5) Point Break Dir. Kathryn Bigelow 1991 “The ride is over Bodi!” No it’s not, it has just begun if you missed this one. Note the year, 1991; the “remake” was five years ago. Like usual, the remake does not touch the original.
6) Whale Rider Dir. Niki Caro 2002 PERFECT movie! See it, do not google, do not pass go.
7) North Country Dir. Niki Caro 2005More timely than ever to the #metoo movement, Charlize Theron is brilliant in this.
8) MacFaland U.S.A. Dir Niki Caro 2015 No words, well, watch it!
9) The Hurt Locker Dir. Kathryn Bigelow 2008 About the Iraq War and is the first time a Woman won Best Director. It also nabbed Best Picture.
10) Selma Dir. Ava DuVurnay 2013
